Project description

This project required a Turn-Key Design and Installation of a automated SCADA control system on a new Fish Screen Structure. The screen were designed and installed to prevent Salmon in the Sacramento River from migrating into the Irrigation districts drain canal at Knights Landing. The automation portion of the project required each of four (4) fish screen to follow the downstream water level keeping the screen tip two feet above the water thus preventing the Salmon from entering the drain canal. Because of debris loading on the face of the screen the screen were require to lower (Flush) based on upstream and downstream level differentials or time. Because of excessive debris loading an Extensive Alarming and automated callout was designed to alert operators 24/7 of any gate operational problems.
